DA Hike for Madhya Pradesh Government Employees: Good news for government employees in Madhya Pradesh! The state government has announced a 9% increase in their Dearness Allowance (DA), raising it from 230% to 239%. This hike will be effective from November’s salary, increasing income ranging from ₹620 to ₹7,000 per employee.
The decision comes after long-standing demands from employees, and it has been widely appreciated by employee unions.
The Finance Department issued the order
The Madhya Pradesh Finance Department has issued an order increasing the dearness allowance (DA) for government employees under the 6th Pay Commission. Previously, employees were receiving 230% DA from July 1, 2023, which has now been raised by 9% to 239%. This increase will be effective from January 1, 2024, and payments will commence from October 1, 2024, alongside the November 2024 salary.
Payment to be Made in Four Installments
The arrears for the period from January 1, 2024, to September 30, 2024, will be paid in four installments. The first installment will be paid in December 2024, the second in January 2025, the third in February 2025, and the fourth installment in March 2025.
Employees to Receive Lump-Sum Payment
Employees who have completed their service or retired between January 1, 2024, and September 30, 2024, will receive their arrears in a lump sum. This payment will benefit these employees or their families. The decision has brought great joy among the state’s government employees, who have expressed their gratitude to the government.
